The Link Up: Em’s Really Comfortable Western Bootie, Caitlin’s Subscription She LOVES, And Why Marlee Is Sleeping So Well

HAPPY SUNDAY, EVERYONE!!! It was a very good week over here, and we are feeling pretty darn hopeful. It also really has us even more in the holiday mood, which we can all bask in come tomorrow with a pretty great reveal:) Oh, in case you missed our first two gift guides, Em wrote her fahsion/beauty guide and her home guide! Or if you’d rather just hop on over to our shop page, we have gift ideas for everyone. We really take so much time choosing and putting these together so we hopefully they can be truly helpful! Ok, let’s link…

This week’s house tour is a 200-Year-Old Virginia farmhouse that used to be the home and office of the county doctor (back in the early 1900s). It’s filled with history and so much charm! Go take a peek:)

From Emily: A lot of you were screaming “KORKEASE” when I did the comfy boot roundup earlier this fall, but I hadn’t seen any out yet (and then, like a week later, they came out). So while you might be stocked for fall boots, I did, in fact, buy and keep these Korkease booties, which are so comfortable I even wore them at the airport, flying, both ways because my suitcase space was full (which is not my usual move – I’m a mules or sneaker airport lady). I’m still wary of heels (for comfort reasons) but often do want a bit of height, so these are really comfortable and give me more of a boost than my Pikolinos (which are more my everyday, all-day comfortable boots).

From Mallory: You guys, we just got the cutest Christmas pajamas EVER!!! Austin’s brother gifted us family pajamas as Austin’s bday gift (which was definitely more of a present for me and our puppy brisket lol), and I’m obsessed. They’re from Tommy Bahama and the quality is amazing; they have a cute golden retriever that looks just like our dog on the shirt, and they have matching dog jammies too. They also have POCKETS and are very soft. If you know me, you know I love a matching PJ set and ESPECIALLY a matching Christmas PJ set, so I cannot wait to take our Christmas card photos in these bad boys. Happy holidays haha!!

From Marlee: I gotta give a huge shoutout to Em, because thanks to her generosity I have been sleeping GOOOOOOD. Not only did she buy me the comfiest PJ set ever, but she helped me get a new mattress courtesy of Leesa (big thank you to them too!). Long story short, for the last 3 months I’ve been sleeping on a queen mattress on a king bed frame (yes, my shins were continuously bruised from banging them on the side to climb into bed). When I showed Em the photo of my setup, she was like, “We GOTTA get you a new mattress…” Enter my new Leesa Sapira Hybrid!!! I wasn’t totally sure which mattress to get, and ordering online feels very risky – turns out Leesa has a great online quiz that you can take to figure out which one should work for you (to find it, hover over “mattresses” and click “take the quiz”). The one they recommended for me is perfect!

I wouldn’t say I’m super finicky when it comes to mattresses, but I like something on the medium side, maybe leaning a bit firmer, and I’m a stomach and side sleeper. The Sapira Hybrid is definitely firmer than Em’s plush mattresses but isn’t stiff or hard. I wanted this one because I get really hot while I sleep and this one is pretty cooling (can confirm), and I wanted something not super tall so that it worked with my bed frame. It also does a great job of hiding movement – I toss around a TON, and my boyfriend said he can barely notice. There is a light scent when it first comes out of the package, but it went away after a couple of nights. Overall, I’m super impressed and have been loving getting into bed every night. Em still has a Leesa code (EMILYH75) to save $75, which you can stack on top of their current sale! I have laid on Em’s mattress before, which is on the softer side and is also SUPER comfortable if that’s your jam!

From Jess: I was very spoiled for my birthday this year by two of my wonderful friends. The first one got me this vase, which I love for the Murano glass look it has, and the colors are so happy! Then, as the daughter of a Chicago-born and raised father, she got me this hand-painted box. It’s so special, and the timing was hilarious because the day before, my boyfriend and I were debating the glory of Chicago deep-dish pizza. He’s a tavern-style guy, but nobody’s perfect:) Anyway, they were such thoughtful gifts, and I loved them. The vase and box come in a variety of styles and colors in case you need a great gift idea!

Take a look at Tuckernuck’s fall home collection! It’s so cute and beautifully curated. We’d say it’s classic with a side of whimsy. Here are some of our favorite pieces:)

Gold Pear Place Card Holder (Set of 4) | Amalia Wine Decanter | Pastello Brown Three-Piece Place Setting

Dark Brown Rattan Footed Bowl | Berry and White Embroidered Scalloped Napkins (Set of 4) | Bagatelles Single Stem Vases (Set of 5)

From Gretchen: I have been leaning into the cozy clothes lately, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Between our insanely soft PJ set from yesterday’s post and sliding on my tried-and-true Columbia beanie, or bundling up in my favorite fuzzy Costco blanket as I work from home, I am really feeling like the epitome of comfort these days. But my stand-out winner has absolutely been my Ugg Tasman slippers. You can see them over in our Tween/Teen Shop Page section (and yes, wearing them has me feeling just as young again). These slippers are just so EASY because they are so aptly named–they are truly so easy to slide in and out of, but I really appreciate that there’s still a bit of a backing at the heel so they stay on when you’re wearing them. Whether I’m wearing socks or going without, these slippers keep my toes TOASTY, and the sheepskin inside just feels so plush. It’s been reallllly hard to force myself to keep these as inside shoes, because I really just never want to take them off. I know they’re a little bit splurgey (jeez, what isn’t these days), but if you’ve been eyeing them for yourself or someone else, take the plunge!! Enjoy the cozy season NOW.

From Arlyn: I’ve been on a bit of a skin and makeup journey lately. I assumed turning 40 would be this turning point in my aging, but it turns out 41 is really the number where I started noticing things I never saw before. Fine lines, dryness, splotchiness, enlarged pores, and just a general sense of “blah” in my face. BUT, I’ve been tinkering with some new things (including foods and supplements), and on this path to finding my face spark again, I stumbled upon Jones Beauty, and so far, I’m liking it! It was founded six years ago by the makeup-famous Bobbi Brown (yes, THAT Bobbi Brown). Her products and marketing are very age-inclusive, which I love. I’m trying the What The Foundation currently, though I haven’t worn it long enough yet to fully give it my seal of approval. However, the Miracle Balm is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! I’ve used it to give my cheeks a rosy, natural rouge, and it’s wonderful as a lip balm for a delicate berry flush. I have the shade Bare, which annoyingly only comes in this kit I bought, though I do love everything else in the kit (including the highlighting 4-color powder).

From Caitlin: WHO SAW THE DIG TRAILER?! I am so excited for this show to premiere later this month – it stars Amy Poehler as an archeologist who hides a crucial discovery from her boss, Hugh Laurie. The show was created by Mike Schur (who has seemingly never made a dud), and I cannot freakin’ wait to get cozy on a couch next to a Christmas tree while enjoying Ms. Poehler lope around southern Greece with a gaggle of hilarious gals. NOVEMBER 23, HURRY UP!

Also From Caitlin: 2026 was the year that I became a Flamingo Estate fanatic. It started back in the spring with a seasonal box subscription (I just got this quarter’s – the tamegroute dish, orange blossom soap, and Amlou are to die for!!!), and I’ve slowly begun swapping my old bath products for their Flamingo equivalents. Everything is made by hand in LA (often harvested straight off their land!), and everything I’ve tried just offers such a wonderful, elevated, genuinely luxurious sensory experience. I swear by the rosemary clary sage body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, and I REALLY love that the packaging is aluminum and recyclable. If you’re on the hunt for a hard-to-shop-for person, I really think a gift card here might be the ticket! (And just so you know I’m being fair: I think the candles are meh. The scent throw isn’t that great! I’d skip those. But OH MAN, everything I’ve tried from the pantry and bath & body sections has been DIVINE. It took me a minute to come around, but I REALLY get it now!!!)

We hope everyone has a wonderful week and see you tomorrow for a very joyful reveal:) xx
